Just got this doozy in the Junk Email box — pretty classic, figured I would put it out there. Remember, kids, no one is going to give you a commission to “bring their money” into the US. No one. At least this letter doesn’t try to appeal to my Christian goodness or whatnot.

This one was also fun since it wasn’t addressed to me but to “undisclosed recipients”; a sloppy way of letting you know they are spamming entire continents with just one email.

My name is Miss Hasana Mohammad, I am the only Daughter of my late parents Mr.and Mrs Hasana Mohammad. My father was a highly reputable business magnet who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days.

It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad on the 20th May 2008. Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of mine who travelled with him at that time. But Allah knows the truth! My mother died when I was just 6yrs old, and since then my father took me so special.

Before the death of my father on May 2008, he called me and informed me that he has the sum of Six Million, Five Hundred thousand United State Dollars.(USD$6,500,000.00) he deposited in a private Bank here in Abidjan Cote D’Ivoire. He told me that he deposited the money in my name, and also gave me all the necessary legal documents regarding to this deposit with the Bank.

I am just 21 years old and a university undergraduate and really don’t know what to do. Now I want an honest and Allah fearing partner overseas who I can transfer this money with his assistance and after the transaction I will come and reside permanently in your country till such a time that it will be convinient for me to return back home if I so desire. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life. I also want to invest the fund under your care because I am ignorant of business world.

I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards. Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions:

1. Can you honestly help me from your heart?

2. Can I completely trust you?

3. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you after the fund has being transfeered to your account and i come over to meet you ?

Our friend in Iran has screwed up big time  — the nerve of this guy, to be friendly to his old teacher.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been accused of indecency after he publicly embraced and kissed on the hand an elderly woman who used to be his schoolteacher.

At a ceremony on Tuesday ahead of Iranian teachers’ day, Mr Ahmadinejad was photographed and filmed by state media stooping to kiss the woman’s hand and then clasping her arms in an embrace.

The ultra-conservative Hezbollah newspaper, which is not related to the group in Lebanon of the same name, criticised him on the front page.

“The Muslim Iranian people have no recollection of such acts contrary to sharia law during Islamic rule [since the 1979 revolution],” it said.

“This type of indecency progressively has grave consequences, like violating religious and sacred values.”

The elderly woman, who was not named, wore thick gloves along with a headscarf and long black coat, meaning that Mr Ahmadinejad avoided any skin contact.

But his action raised eyebrows because according to sharia law, it is forbidden for a man to have any physical contact with a woman to whom he is not related.

This guy is a liberal, compared to the other dudes in power in Iran? Stunning.

Now, if only the Baathists in Iraq would take a page from this poor deluded soul’s book:

Kolkata, India – A 15-year-old girl from eastern India hanged herself in response to the execution of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, police and family members said on Thursday.

“She said they had hanged a patriot. We didn’t take her seriously when she told us that she wanted to feel the pain Saddam did during the execution,” the girl’s father, Manmohan Karmakar, told AFP by phone from the town of Kharda.

He said his daughter, called Moon Moon, had become extremely depressed after watching Saddam’s execution on television.

“She kept watching the scene over and again and didn’t take food on Saturday and Sunday to protest the hanging,” he said.

Police superintendent Pravin Kumar confirmed the suicide, saying the girl had strung herself up from a ceiling fan and was found dead early on Wednesday.

The communist-ruled state of West Bengal has condemned Saturday’s execution of Saddam, with thousands of people taking to the streets.

Well, once again we see that Islam is a religion of love and reconciliation with this news:

ISTANBUL, Turkey (CNN) — Police say they have arrested a man who allegedly fired a pistol into the air outside the Italian consulate in Istanbul, then shouted slogans in protest of Pope Benedict XVI’s upcoming visit.

The man, who was identified by police sources as Ibrahim Ak, according to CNN Turk, threw the gun on the grounds of the consulate shortly before his arrest on Thursday.

“I don’t want him here, if he was here now I would strangle him with my bare hands,” the suspect, who identified himself as Ibrahim Ak, 26, told a Dogan news agency television camera as he was detained by police, according to The Associated Press.

“I fired the shots for God,” Ak said as he sat handcuffed inside a police van outside the consulate. “Inshallah (God willing), this will be a spark, a starter for Muslims.”

“God willing, he will not come, if he comes, he will see what will happen to him Inshallah,” Ak said.

A Muslim teacher has been axed after she insisted on wearing a veil to teach young children.

Aishah Azmi, 24, was asked to take it off in class after pupils said they found English lessons hard to understand because they could not see her lips move.

The junior school in Dewsbury, West Yorks, said she could wear her veil in corridors and the staff room – but must remove it when teaching. Angry Miss Azmi refused, claiming the veil was part of her cultural identity, and was suspended.

A council source said yesterday: “It is ridiculous. How can you teach English to young children with a veil over your face?”

Reportedly, the school’s water-polo coach has been asked to not wear a burka while demonstrating passing techniques to her charges. No word on whether the PC police will also be coming to her rescue.

NAIVASHA, Kenya (Reuters) – A couple caught having sex in a Kenyan mosque during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan have been sentenced to 18 months jail for what the judge called an “abominable” affront to religion.

Peter Kimani and Jennifer Wairimu pleaded guilty to the charge of having sex in a place of worship after being caught on October 3 at the Abubakar mosque in Gilgil, about 60 miles north of Nairobi. Neither is a Muslim.

A worshipper heading for evening prayers found the couple having sex after investigating what the prosecution described as strange noises emanating from a dark corner of the mosque.

Kimani and Wairimu both pleaded for clemency at Monday’s hearing, saying they were too drunk to know where they were. Kimani told the court he thought he was in a lodging house.

John King’ori, senior magistrate in nearby Naivasha, dismissed their plea.

“Having sex in a mosque is a most abominable thing to religion and only a custodial sentence can add justice to this,” he said.

Once again, Eurabia strikes back, this time destroying a 500-year old perfectly appropriate celebration of liberation in my beloved Spain:

Spain will no longer burn effigies of the Prophet Muhammad. Muslim armies occupied Spain from 711 to 1492. For the past five centuries the Spanish have traditionally celebrated the 1492 liberation from the Moors (as the Muslims were locally called) with local village festivals during which the battles against the Moors were reenacted and effigies of the Muslim prophet – the so-called “la Mahoma” – were mocked, thrown from the windows, and burned.

Last year the town of Bocairent near Valencia decided to discontinue the tradition of centuries. The town did not want to risk becoming the target of Islamic suicide bombers. On Monday the Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that this year the other Valencian towns are also abolishing ancient traditions which are perceived to be offensive to Muslims. The people of Beneixama used to stuff the head of the Mahoma with firecrackers which went off as the onlookers applauded. This year Beneixama decided to abolish this part of the celebration. Antonio Valdés, the local mayor, told El Pais: “This was not an essential part of the festivities. It could hurt the sensitivities of some. We decided to avoid that.” The reconquista will still be commemmorated, but without “aggression” towards Muhammad.

Iran’s hardline Islamic regime has had enough of footballers with long hair and plucked eyebrows.

“I will ban athletes with an effeminate look,” the head of the country’s Physical Education Organisation, Mohammad Ali-Abadi said, told the Etemad-Melli newspaper.

“It is really disgraceful for Iran that young people step onto fields wearing make-up,” the top official fumed. “When a man enters the field with dyed hair and groomed eyebrows he is disrespecting society.”

The paper said Ali-Abadi appeared to be particularly worried about footballers, and warned that “even though they get away with it now, they will be disqualified in future”.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) – A Muslim couple in India has been told by local Islamic leaders they must separate after the husband “divorced” his wife in his sleep, the Press Trust of India reported.

Sohela Ansari told friends that her husband Aftab had uttered the word “talaq,” or divorce, three times in his sleep, according to the report published in newspapers Monday.

When local Islamic leaders got to hear, they said Aftab’s words constituted a divorce under an Islamic procedure known as “triple talaq.” The couple, married for 11 years with three children, were told they had to split.

The religious leaders ruled that if the couple wanted to remarry they would have to wait at least 100 days. Sohela would also have to spend a night with another man and be divorced by him in turn.

Oh, and be careful what you tell your girlfriends over coffee.

Yes, you’d have to be insane to become a Christian, after being a believer in Islam, a religion of pure sanity and reason.

BERLIN (Reuters) – An Afghan man facing the death penalty for converting to Christianity may avoid the sentence because he needs psychiatric help, the country’s Economy Minister was quoted as saying by a German paper on Thursday.

I seem to recall similar moves in the Soviet Bloc back in the day — if you were against Communism, it just HAD to be a mental disorder. With enough time, drugs, isolation, and “counsel”, I’m sure that this poor fellow can be “cured”.

The recent story about the fellow in Afghanistan currently trying to avoid the death penalty for conversion under Sharia law has brought up more cases of “secret” conversions — people who have left Islam but have done so on the lamb to avoid the penalty of instantly being sent to Heaven by the religious police.

“I also spoke to a priest who had passed through Kabul and he said he was amazed that women sitting on the ground at the local market saw he was a foreigner and a Christian, by the cross he was wearing, and attracted his attention to them by making a sign of the cross with their fingers. He was convinced that they were trying to send him a coded message” said Eid, a Lebanese Maronite who lives in Italy.

This is fascinating stuff, and worthy of further exploration. I know some in the blogosphere are working to get the openly converted fellow freed — but more should be done to allow these others who have converted in secret to practice freedom of religion openly.

Signal 94 has a great piece on some recently released Al Qaeda documents, that include the membership rules for joining Osama’s exclusive club of Islamofascist murderers. It even includes a rule that one must recite the pledge.

Signal 94 suggests, since the pledge isn’t actually included:
