RENTON, N.J. (AP) – The SUV carrying Gov. Jon S. Corzine was traveling about 91 mph moments before it crashed, Superintendent of State Police Col. Rick Fuentes said Tuesday.The governor was critically injured when the vehicle crashed into a guardrail on the Garden State Parkway just north of Atlantic City last week. He apparently was not wearing his seat belt as he rode in the front passenger’s seat.
The speed limit along that stretch of the parkway is 65 mph.
The state trooper-driven sport utility vehicle was in the left lane with its emergency lights flashing when a pickup tried to get out of its way. Instead, it set off a chain reaction that resulted in the crash.

Smart PR people to release this news on a day when nobody cares how the Corzine crew blatantly disregarded the law. Still wish him well though.
I would agree no one likes to see things like this happen to anyone, but the issue is something happening in every community nationwide; power corrupts!
we are now corzined whenever on the road. who knows, we might have to get out of the way of the law if behind us, gotta get that donut while it is fresh
all government [our employees] should especially live by laws not flaunt them.
they should be held to a higher standard.

luckily he is being cared for our much maligned but still the best medical system in the world.
91 mph in the passenger seat with no seatbelt? Maybe he wanted to be the first NJ governor launched into space.
