DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — A New Orleans woman wants her 10-year-old son’s pet dog returned.

Sheila Combs, who lost Rocket during Hurricane Katrina, is suing the suburban Philadelphia family that adopted it and the two kennels that processed the pooch.The lawsuit also seeks unspecified damages. It alleges the kennels “wrongfully adopted out” Rocket after the dog was sent to Pennsylvania following its hurricane rescue.

The suit also claims the couple who adopted the now 2-year-old chow-Finnish spitz mix has reneged on promises to return it.
