WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. war on terrorism has made the world safer, the State Department’s counterterrorism chief said on Friday, despite more than 11,000 terrorist attacks worldwide last year that killed 14,600 people.

By “world”, I have a feeling they meant “the part of the world that we really care about”. Most of the “terrorist attacks” that occured last year happened in shitholes, exactly where they should have happened, instead of on Manhatten, or in Los Angeles, or Chicago.
