Maybe we need a whole new category for “Educators who bite”?

Is this a trend? Or is it just a rash? We’ll see over the coming months.

Police charged a university official after he allegedly bit a man in the calf when the man stopped to help him after a car accident.

Robert E. Mays, 64, an associate dean at the University of Southern Indiana, was charged with battery and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was released from Vanderburgh County jail on a $100 bond.

I’m starting to think we should look into mandatory rabies tests for any man-bites-man or teacher-bites-student case. Just in case. Or is this just a possibly NEA-induced spate of lycanthropy?
