I wonder how it’s going…
BRASILIA, Brazil (Reuters) – Brazil’s Roman Catholic Church urged revelers on Thursday to abstain from reckless sex, too much alcohol and violence during the country’s Carnival celebrations.

Who said dope doesn’t make you stupid?
I don’t know what it is, but there’ve been a whole spate of dumb-assed dope-smoker stories of late. I think the Lord might be trying to tell these guys something.
MILL VALLEY, Calif. (AP) – A man who allegedly mailed a half-pound of marijuana without an address label on the package was arrested after authorities returned it to its sender.
Steven Coburn, 48, of Mill Valley was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drug possession for sale and investigators found another 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana worth $10,000 at his home behind Tamalpais High School, said Det. Matt Lethin of the Marin County Major Crimes Task Force.
The private Corte Madera shipping company where Coburn tried to mail the package on Feb. 16 followed company protocol by opening the package to see whether the label was accidentally sealed inside, Lethin said. “Once they opened it up and saw what was inside, they immediately called law enforcement,” Lethin said. Investigators said they are not sure whether Coburn forgot to affix the address label or it fell off, but it had a return address on it that led to Coburn.
He was booked into Marin County Jail and posted bail. A court date was set for March 8.

Come on baby, light my fire
SAN DIEGO (Reuters) – A radical environmental activist has been indicted by a federal grand jury for demonstrating how to build a firebomb in a speech just 15 hours after a fire that his group claimed responsibility for destroyed a large apartment complex being built nearby.
Rodney Adam Coronado, a 39-year-old member of the Earth Liberation Front, was indicted on a charge of giving instructions on how to build a destructive device, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison. The indictment was unsealed on Wednesday.
The law under which he was charged has been used just four other times since it was enacted in 1997, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Shane Harrigan. The law makes it illegal to tell others how to build destructive devices with the intent of having them commit crimes.
“In the speech, Coronado mentioned the fire that had just occurred,” Harrigan said. “We have to prove his intent was to have others go out and commit arson.”

The Truth will Out
Today, there was a story across the wire about a man who entered a convenience store, asked the clerk to microwave something for him, and then left in a rush when the clerk noticed that the object was apparently a severed “male part”. Police began their search.
Now, the truth be told, it turns out that it wasn’t an actual male part but rather an artificial male part filled with urine. The man and an unnamed female wanted to heat up the urine so that she could use it for an employment drug screening.
The question remains why they were using such an oddly-shaped vessel to transport their booty. No doubt, Reuters will get to the bottom of the story.
I’m just glad that I can uncross my legs again.

Doing the right thing? You decide.
This fellow lost his camera in Hawaii — only to have it found by a couple of Canadians — who have refused now to give it back. Great story; I’m sure hoping that he publicizes their real names and address so that they can hear from a few of us.
My buddy Real Ugly has a post on the subject; I’m with him — let’s do something rude to a Canadian in her honor!
