Per Wikipedia: In order to keep from offending anyone,

“The Red Crystal is the new politically and religiously neutral emblem approved by the states party to the Geneva Conventions. This emblem clears a hurdle for the Israeli humanitarian society, the Magen David Adom, to join the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.”

You might think this is a joke — but alas, I’m afraid it isn’t.

No more free advertisements for the Swiss. It’s expected that knife sales will fall precipitously.
