Proof that Kerry doesn’t have a clue why he lost to Bush…

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sen. John Kerry will attempt a filibuster to block the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, CNN has learned.

Kerry, in Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum, was marshaling support in phone calls during the day, he told CNN.

Kerry said he told a group of Democratic senators Wednesday, and urged that they join him. Kerry said he has the support of fellow Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy.

Some senior Democrats told CNN they are worried that the move could backfire.

I’m not a senior, hell, I’m not even remotely a Democrat — but I can tell it’s going to backfire. I would like to personally thank John Kerry for single-handedly fixing the GOP’s mid-term elections problem for them.

What an awesome idea…

… let’s go to Iraq, find someone who’s interested in making some cash, then get ourselves kidnapped. Win win win.

Of course, this fits in nicely with my theory on the nature of the so-called Christian peaceniks who were “kidnapped” but apparently are doing just great. Unfortunately for them, they are not that great at sustaining earned media. That, and they aren’t as cute as that CSM reporter. Oooofa. Oh well.

Your tax dollars “at work”

Great, now we have the rocket scientists in Washington spending our money to figure out that “Staying married has its benefits, especially financial, as a new U.S.-wide study shows the wealth of a married person is almost double that of somebody who is single.

Brilliant.

No word on how wealthy gay unions get. I suspect it’s pretty high, since they still haven’t figured out how to get a guy pregnant.
