OK, I’m starting to get scared

Islamofascist Training Manual?I’ve been relatively tolerant of the Bush Administration’s use of the Patriot Act, wiretaps, and the like to fight terrorism and protect us from another 9-11.

But this is just scarey — two Homeland Security agents actually followed up on an inter-library loan request for a copy of Mao’s Little Red Book — why, of course, is beyond me. Apparently, it’s on a watch list of subversive materials.

Since when do Islamo-fascist terrorists read and laud Mao, an atheist, communist, supposedly egalitarian, Chinese tyrant?

The student, who was completing a research paper on Communism for Professor Pontbriand’s class on fascism and totalitarianism, filled out a form for the request, leaving his name, address, phone number and Social Security number. He was later visited at his parents’ home in New Bedford by two agents of the Department of Homeland Security, the professors said.

The professors said the student was told by the agents that the book is on a “watch list,” and that his background, which included significant time abroad, triggered them to investigate the student further.

WTF are they thinking? Perhaps we need to rethink who we’re giving power to in government to fight terrorism. These two morons, for example.
